In September 2016, Mr. Luecke stepped into the role of President & CEO for Homeport, bringing with him over 35 years of experience in the banking and financing arenas. His previous experience includes being Senior Vice President at Bank One Corporation (now JP Morgan Chase) and Vice President at Nationwide Bank, where he led Nationwide Bank's business lines from start - up to $6 billion in assets in 8 years, helping the company experience significant growth in consumer lending and relationship management. He has also been a board member of the Community Development Collaborative of Greater Columbus, and is a former Homeport board member and board chair. Mr. Luecke holds an MBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago and a BSBA in Finance from John Carroll University.

Mr. Murphy has over 17 years of experience in community development and non - profit management, and currently oversees all programs and operations at Homeport. Mr. Murphy holds a Masters of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Professional Certificate in Non - Profit Management from Duke University.
Valorie Schwarzmann , J.D., CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Schwarzmann, J.D., CPA, joined Homeport in 2010 as its Chief Financial Officer after serving on its Board of Directors for three years, as its Treasurer. Her responsibilities include overseeing the financial systems, processes, planning, and reporting for all lines of business. Ms. Schwarzmann worked in public accounting for almost twenty years prior to joining Homeport. She received a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University, received a Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Senior VP, Community & Government Relations / Resource Development
Ms. Hill joined Homeport in 1990 and has served as Vice President of Community Relations since 1997. Her responsibilities encompass coordinating public relations for Homeport and networking with other organizations to facilitate important community liaisons. She also plays a critical role in developing government support and funding for tax credit projects. Prior to joining Homeport, Ms. Hill worked for the State of Ohio in the Governor’s Office for Recovery Services and served as an advisor to then - First Lady Dagmar Celeste.
Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development
Mr. Baugh brings nearly two decades of experience in overseeing development of multi - family housing and finding investors and investment dollars. His responsibilities include leading the Real Estate Development team and identifying new strategic partners and funding sources. Mr. Baugh has an M.B.A (Finance) from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree (Economics) from The Ohio State University.
Vice President of Neighborhood Strategies
Ms. Evans oversees the financing, development and implementation of all neighborhood revitalization initiatives. She has over 14 years of experience in the community and economic development field. Ms. Evans served as the Deputy Director of Planning & Development for the City of Gahanna before joining Homeport. Prior to being promoted to Deputy Director, Ms. Evans was the city’s first Economic Development Manager and shaped the City’s economic development plan. Ms. Evans holds a Masters in City & Regional Planning from The Ohio State University and is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional.
Mr. Metzler joined Homeport in June of 2014 as a Project Manager for the Rental Development team. As Project Manager, he brings over 15 years of experience in the architecture, construction and real estate development industries. The primary responsibility of his role consists of managing the project process and development team from pre - acquisition through construction. Prior to joining Homeport, Mr. Metzler had worked as a Project Manager and Real Estate Development Associate on a variety of project types including student housing, single - and multi - family housing, retail, medical, office and municipal buildings of up to $30M in size. Mr. Metzler holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Architecture degrees from Kent State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University.
Real Estate Closing Manager
Mr. Casper has over 15 years of experience in real estate, in both low income housing tax credits and homeownership, closing over $57 million in equity financing, $51 million in construction & permanent financing, and over $20 million in predevelopment/acquisition, HOME and bridge loan financing in his tenure with Homeport. He has also been involved in multiple phases of development from property identification, acquisition and due diligence, to construction draw processing and closing on various forms of financing. Mr. Casper is a magna cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Psychology.
