Homeport participates in the first volunteer fair at Columbus Alternative High School

On May 23rd, our Volunteer Coordinator Rachel Arnold and her intern Lauren Ashe attended the Columbus Alternative High School Volunteer Fair sponsored by Hands On Central Ohio to help recruit students to participate in Homeport's volunteer opportunities. Students in the Columbus City School district must complete 120 hours of Community Service as part of their graduation requirements. Homeport was able to talk with many students about becoming involved in our programs, specifically our Summer Camp and our After School tutoring programs.
