You can read about the exhibit's background below:
A juried exhibition of CCAD Students, curated by Concours.
In the act of presenting one’s self, one is met with the challenge of finding a balance between identity and the objective of physical presentation. Throughout history there has always been an interest in the individual artist as the subject, though not always in a representational way. Dancing between variables of emotion, conflict, and physicality, the self-portrait is an obvious interest of the artist for its self-representational qualities.
From the intimate to the revealing, the realistic to the abstract, tangible and concrete, Concours is pleased to present the boundaries of one’s Presentment.
