In the State of the City address, Mayor Mike Coleman shared that a shocking 60% of third graders in Columbus City Schools are unable to pass the state reading exam. All too often, parents are forced to move in the middle of a school year in order to maintain housing, causing children to move from classroom to classroom. A stable home is directly linked a child's education and future success.
We must make affordable housing that is safe and decent available to all of our neighbors in Central Ohio. All children deserve the opportunity to succeed and dream.
