What do you like most about the organization?
What I like most about Homeport is its mix of options in affordable housing and financial education. It reflects Homeport’s culture of genuinely and passionately caring for others. This is what I believe drives Homeport to be the best at what it does.

What have you done in your career that you are most proud of, or that people may not be aware of?
One of the things that I have done in my career that I am proud of, and that people may not be aware of, is that I have written and self-published a children’s book series. The books follow the lives of a multi-cultural group of friends who attend a performing arts school. Their love and passion for Hip Hop is a unifying force that enables them to work through some of life’s toughest challenges such as bullying, peer pressure and drug use among other issues. “The Birthday Party” is the first book of the “The Cypher Book Series,” www.thecypherbookseries.com. The storyline for “The Birthday Party” is that sometimes it is difficult to navigate cultural differences due to our preconceived notions. The books may be purchased at or online through Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

Favorite things you do outside of work?
Outside of work I’m usually … working. On top of working for Homeport I own a T-shirt design and printing company. I also manage a few musical acts in Columbus, booking their shows as well as assisting them with the recording of their music. If I happen to not be working, I’m usually spending time with my family watching movies or playing a dancing game on the Wii or Xbox Kinect. I am a homebody at heart.
