Dublin-Based Company Leases Over 6,000 Square Feet
IGS Energy, an independent retailer of natural gas and electricity, has become the largest tenant at Homeport’s CityGate Business Park headquarters.
The Dublin-based company has signed a five-year lease for 6,365 square feet on the first floor of Homeport’s building at 3443 Agler Road.
“We are pleased to have a tenant of IGS’s caliber,” said Homeport Interim President and CEO Bruce Luecke. “The lease speaks to the value of our investment in the building that we purchased in late 2014.”
Beginning in August, the Homeport building will house IGS’s outbound call center and a small team of inbound customer service representatives. IGS previously utilized a third party outbound call center.
IGS has been in business for 27 years and has approximately 750 employees across the country, including 400 employees at its Dublin facility. The Agler Road location will house 40 IGS employees.
“We wanted a location that was more centrally located so we could recruit from all areas of the city,” stated Jenni Kovach, IGS Vice-President of Employee and Customer Engagement. “We also needed a second location for back-up purposes if our Dublin office was unavailable.”
Kovach said that IGS is “continuously offering new and expanded product selections. It is important to us to have an IGS-owned and managed outbound call center so we can train and educate employees on new products in order to ensure exceptional customer experiences.”
Homeport, a 50-employee, 29-year-old non-profit affordable housing developer and financial education provider, works from the second floor of the 42,000 square foot building.
Approximately 8,000 square feet of first floor space remains for leasing at Homeport’s building. Robert Weiler Company Senior Vice President Todd Schiff is representing Homeport.
