Residents of the Greater Linden Homes and Joyce Avenue Homes communities had some face time on May 18 with Homeport's Lease Option Program Manager Brenda Moncrief, mortgage lenders and a Realtor to learn how to purchase single family homes they have been renting.

The informal event at St. Stephen's Community House also offered residents information about Homeport's Home Readiness workshops and one on one budget and credit counseling sessions. Residents received $25 gift cards from Kroger for gas or food for attending.  Snacks and drinks were also served.

The next Lease Option Program "Let's Talk" event is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 23 on the community lawn at Kingsford Homes. For more information, e-mail Brenda.Moncrief@Homeportohio.org. or call Moncrief at 614 545-4816.
